In just one simple word I am not just saying "yes" to him, I am saying yes to his family, to oneness, to his sinfulness, his burdens, his job, his leadership, and his schooling. I am saying yes to give my whole self to another human being. I am saying yes to be an example to other women. I am saying yes to a holy commitment in light of the very pessimistic perspective the world. But I side with John Piper when he says, "The wonder of marriage is woven into the wonder of the gospel of the cross of Christ, and the message of the cross is foolishness to the natural man, and so the meaning of marriage is foolishness to the natural man."
I am unbelievably happy. I am so undeserving of such a handsome, smart, God-loving young man. God is good.
